Karriere-Start als Sängerin einer Band

Leonys musikalische Reise begann mit der Teilnahme an der RTL-Castingshow „Rising Star“ im Jahr 2014. Zusammen mit Julian Vogl und Maximilian Böhle bildete sie die Band Unknown Passenger. Ihre beeindruckende Performance von Rihannas „Stay“ gewann das Publikum für sich und mit 92,77 % der Stimmen entschieden sie die Show für sich. Trotz des Sieges löste sich die Band bald auf. Der entscheidende Wendepunkt in Leonys Karriere war jedoch dieser Sieg, der als Sprungbrett für ihre Solokarriere diente.

Internationale Erfahrungen und erste Erfolge

Nach dem Ende der Band verfolgte Leony ihre Solokarriere weiter und zog ins Ausland, um ihre Fähigkeiten zu vertiefen. 2016 unterschrieb sie einen Plattenvertrag bei Sony Music in Australien. Während dieser Zeit erhielt sie ein umfangreiches Vocalcoaching und nahm ihre ersten Solo-Songs in Stockholm auf. Ihre Debütsingle „Surrender“ wurde 2017 veröffentlicht und fand durch eine Werbekampagne zusätzliche Bekanntheit. Dieser Schritt ins Ausland half ihr, wertvolle internationale Erfahrung zu sammeln.

Rückkehr nach Deutschland und Durchbruch

Leony kehrte nach Deutschland zurück und ließ sich in Berlin nieder, wo sie neue künstlerische Partnerschaften einging. Mit den Produzenten Vitali Zestovskih und Mark Becker schuf sie 2020 eine Neuinterpretation des Modern-Talking-Hits „Brother Louie“. Dieses Stück markierte ihren kommerziellen Durchbruch und erreichte hohe Positionen in den Charts. Die Zusammenarbeit mit bekannten Künstlern wie VIZE, Imanbek und Dieter Bohlen stärkte ihre Präsenz in der Popmusikszene weiter. Ihre Songs sind regelmäßig im Internetradio und Online Radio zu hören.

Aktuelle Projekte und Anerkennungen

In den letzten Jahren hat Leony ihren kreativen Horizont weiter erweitert. 2023 trat sie als Jurorin bei „Deutschland sucht den Superstar“ auf und schrieb die Finalsongs der Kandidaten. Zudem singt sie den offiziellen Song „Fire“ zur Fußball-Europameisterschaft 2024. Ihr im März 2023 veröffentlichtes Album „Somewhere in Between“ fand großen Anklang und landete auf Platz 20 der deutschen Albumcharts. Für ihre Leistungen erhielt sie mehrere Auszeichnungen, darunter den Nickelodeon Kids‘ Choice Award 2023 für ihren Song „Remedy“.
